Jen Brister is a born comedian she regularly tours the UK and takes part in the Edinburgh Fringe festival each year. Originally Jen wanted to be an actress but realised she was always being drawn back to stand up and so made the decision to focus on it solely. She says that there a lots of great female comics out there but you only have to look at the panels on TV to see that it’s guys who get the most support. Here’s to no-one ever asking “are women funny” again!
Naomi Richards, the only life coach for children as young as 6 years old in the UK decided she wanted more work flexibility when she was expecting her first child and so trained as a life coach. She now runs her own business from home, has written a book and helps children and parents alike. She loves her Nokia Lumia because it effectively brings together her work and personal life.
Barbara is co-founder of Youth Charity Elevation Networks, the charity works with young people and ex-offenders to help them get a foot on the employment ladder. Barbara strongly believes that it doesn’t matter what your background is, this shouldn’t hinder your chances of getting a job. She uses her Nokia Lumia all the time as it offers her peace of mind when not in the office and the ability to multitask.
Jess Gormley is a film producer who splits her time between Rankin Film Productions and a fantastic charity Streetwise Opera. Jess explains how it took her a while to achieve her goals and had some great breaks that set her on the inspiring path she’s on now.
